Neopets!!

So I have been playing neopets since probably about 2006-2007. I so wish I still had access to my oldest accounts, way back when you could still name your pets with just one word or without numbers. I remember making a neopet named Oceaner, who I have looked up recently. There is a match, although now she (for some reason I remember them being a he) is a chomby. I swear Oceaner was a different type of neopet, maybe a Shoyru. Oceaner is also no longer owned by my old account. I'm assuming most of my old accounts were lost in one of the big data breaches, and people took them over to drain the pets and items from them since they were older accounts. That's ok though. I just wonder if any of my other old pets are still around (I don't think they disappear?). I don't remember anyone else's names honestly. I just know I loved pteris and shoyrus. But, if Oceaner is anything to go off of (assuming she was mine once), there are probably a lot of my old pets that are no longer in their original forms. They have developed their own lives beyond my original creation in the last 15-20 years. Unfortunately, it looks like the person who owns Oceaner now hasn't been on in a very long time, and they may never come back, so this account might be Oceaner's final resting place. We'll have to wait for another massive data breach for them to get moved around into the greater world of Neopia again.

I also looked up what might be my oldest account, and it was made in 2007. My neopets are still in that account, so that account must not have been effected by the data breaches. It feels weird to look into an account and a store and a gallery that I made when I was 6-7. In my gallery I have an old rotten right shoe and 1/3 of a pea and carrot omlette, which is very funny to me. I love you seven year old me, I'm glad you found that much value in neopets garbage.

I had many, many neopets accounts. I know that's against the rules, but every summer or so when I would get some free time to play, I would just make a new account because I would forget the old one. I never played more than one account at once, but I wish I had been able to keep up with my older accounts better. The only one I was able to recover is my current account. It's still fairly old though-- created on November 21st, 2009. It has the 15 year badge. I'm thinking that was when Thanksgiving break or something was going on. When I cracked it back open most recently to start playing again, I changed the name to my new name and updated the gender, so now it is fully mine again. I love getting sir'd at the bank.

Speaking of the bank, I am rich. Like, rich rich. Not the richest person for sure, but I had well over 800,000NP, and from there I have expanded and become a millionaire in the past week or so. I remember always being super broke all the time (shout out to the soup kitchen), but it actually is not that hard to make money in neopets. It's crazy to be so rich I don't need the food kitchen.
